Overview

Splio Meta connector allows you to use your Splio audiences in Meta Ads Manager Custom Audiences.

Meta matches profiles with the hashed email addresses or hashed phone numbers provided through the Splio Meta connector to find users you can advertise to on Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network.

The goal is to make the most of your Splio segments to create effective ad campaigns in Meta, by using the created Meta Custom Audiences as a target for your ads.

For example, you can use:

Cart abandoners from the last 7 days
High-LTV customers
Churn-risk customers
Recent purchasers to exclude from acquisition campaigns
Customers eligible for a win-back campaign
Newsletter subscribers with ad-targeting consent
(Predictive AI only) Propensity to buy attribute or the buyers of a specific product category and expand the population in Meta ads with a lookalike audience, to increase the reach of your campaign.

Prerequisites

To be able to use this connector, you first need to:

have a Splio account
have a Meta ad account
have customer email addresses added to your data feeds beforehand
retrieve the consent from the end-user on your website and send it to splio through a contact custom field with the value 0 or 1. This field will enable you to include only constenting users in retargeting campaigns.

Phone number formats
For Meta to be able to properly match users, phone numbers sent to Splio must be properly formatted, starting with "00" and followed by a country indicator. If wrongly formated, Splio will try to recover to a valid number.

Data sharing to Meta - User consent
In the EU, users must give explicit consent before their data can be shared with third parties like Meta for targetting. Please make sure to collect this consent and add a filter to your audience.
